Cedar carriers commit to providing service during the dance, from the time the dancers enter the arbor until the dancers leave the arbor at the end of the day. Cedar carriers are available to smudge supporters and dancers both during and between the dance rounds. The cedar carrier places stripped cedar into a shoulder bag and takes a can with fire coals to use for the smudging. We are asking for 5 or 6 cedar carrier volunteers each day to provide enough resources so that each cedar carrier can have time to take any needed breaks during the day.
