Sun Dance for Peace,
It is near the end of June and
I am breaking personal tradition by doing this letter now instead of a year or
two down the road. Maybe it’s the coming changes in consciousness to humanity
and to all of life motivating me, but whatever it may be, I thought it was time
to write this. I’ve been told by my friends and relatives at the dance that
there must be exceptional changes due to happen because of what they perceived
as changes happening in my personal behavior. ...
In
June of 2006, we embarked on a journey of peace by initiating the High Star Sun
Eagle International Sun Dance for Peace held on the family grounds of Ervin
Keeswood. This year of 2009, we finished the first four years of that sun dance
with energy and enthusiasm for more. Every four years, we ask the dancers if
they desire to continue with another cycle of four years to dance. We asked
Ervin if he was willing to accept us for another four years. He agreed to have
us for another four years with ...
I have started this letter at least
four times since the finish of the first High Star Sun Eagle
International Sun Dance For Peace held 4 June 2006 through 11
June 2006. Others including Antonette Badami, who danced at
the dance, have reported their experiences and observations
of the dance in previous e-mails to all of you. What I want
to do with this letter is to give you my opinions and observations
of my whole experience about the dance as well as other thoughts
which I have about things in general regarding the life process
in which we all take part. I hope to relate my experiences as
simply as I can think them.
I have been meaning to write this
since I started thinking of the changes we are all facing this
summer and beyond. In contemplating them, I realized that it
would be best for me to share with you some of my changes as
I am certain that it will affect some of you who came to the
Hollow Bear Sun Dance because I was there. Beginning this summer,
I will be present at the Hollow Horn Bear Sun Dance for two
separate days only. On the healing day, I will come to present
the medicines I have presented to the dance since the first
year I came back to Hollow Horn Bear. Then I will be present
